Florida Department of Health's STD Clinic provides confidential diagnostic screening and treatment to persons infected with an STD and those suspected of being infected. At West Perrine, we offer STD screening, treatment, and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). At Health District Center, we offer STD screening, treatment, PrEP, and hepatitis testing and hepatitis A and B vaccines to those considered at high-risk.  

Eligible persons may qualify for free or reduced cost of service; proof of income is required during income determination. Services will not be denied to patient’s due to inability to pay, immigration/citizenship status, race, religion, or sexual orientation.  

What to expect during your STD visit:

  • Please bring a valid Photo ID (required for service).
  • Upon arrival, check in at the intake window to receive a number.
  • Proceed to registration to determine eligibility for our sliding scale payment services.
  • Wait in the designated area until called by a clinician.
  • If necessary, you may be seen by the hepatitis nurse.
  • You will complete any required lab work. Test results will take approximately 1 week to be available via patient portal or result line.
  • You will return to the clinician for rapid results or treatment if needed. Based on the rapid result, you maybe referred for additional services.
  • If applicable, proceed to the cashier for payment.
  • Your clinical visit typically takes around 2-3 hours.
