Mission
The mission of the Miami-Dade County Tuberculosis Control and Prevention Program (TB Program) is to identify, treat, and prevent the spread of Tuberculosis disease in Miami-Dade County and control any related public health threat. The goals of the TB Program are:
- To ensure the identification and treatment of all persons with active Tuberculosis disease.
- To ensure that persons at high risk of progressing towards the disease are identified and receive prophylaxis thereby preventing future occurrence of Tuberculosis disease in the county.
