Miami, Fla. – As the holidays are approaching, residents can enjoy a day full of health and wellness activities during the 5^th Annual Bounty of Health event hosted by the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County (DOH-Miami-Dade) and the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade on Friday, December 13, 2024. 

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following location: 

West Perrine Health Center  
18255 Homestead Ave. 
Miami, FL 33157 

This year’s event will focus on health and wellness, highlighting the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a day filled with health education and health screenings, food distribution, and giveaways. The event and all activities are free and open to the community on a first come, first served basis.  

“Our goal is to encourage the community to live a happier and healthier life by achieving their best optimal health,” said Dr. Yesenia Villalta, DNP, MSN, APRN, Administrator/Health Officer of DOH-Miami-Dade. “We are excited to be able to host this event that will truly benefit the community and help them take care of themselves and their families. We encourage the community to join us and enjoy all available activities.”
