Healthy People 2030 now includes objectives that highlight how the social determinants of health impact people’s health. The social determinants of health are grouped into 5 categories. These include Economic Stability, Education Access and Quality, Health Care Access and Quality, Neighborhood and Built Environment, and Social and Community Context. It is important to highlight one of the biggest changes from Healthy People 2020 to Healthy People 2030 is that the number of objectives have been reduced to reduce overlap and prioritize the most significant public health issues.
