This webpage contains information regarding the detection dates and locations of the New World screwworm in Florida. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and partnering agencies have been executing an aggressive eradication program since the USDA confirmed the first screwworm in October 2016.

USDA, National Veterinary Services Laboratories, in Ames, Iowa, has confirmed 16 cases of screwworm since infestation was first detected.
