10th Annual Homestead/Florida City Holiday Health & Resource Fair

December 05, 2023

Miami, Fla. –  For the last nine years, the Homestead/Florida City Holiday Health and Resource Fair has provided the South Dade community with free critical health resources, health and dental screenings for children and adults, community resources, and education. The event traditionally hosts over 2,000 guests and provides free food, toys, and children’s books along with fun activities for the whole family.

This year, families will be able to visit with local vendors, enjoy music, and children’s entertainment such as face painting, airbrush tattoos, and balloon artists.  Over 40 exhibitors will be onsite providing free education, resources, and information to the community, in addition to free food distribution by Farm Share. Raffles will be conducted throughout the event giving away prizes! There will also be four mobile units onsite providing FREE services, screenings,  immunizations, education, and giveaways.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and community partners.  Our sponsors include the Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade, Portofino Pediatrics, UnitedHealthcare Individual and Family Plans, Epilepsy Alliance of Florida, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Florida Blue, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Children’s Medical Services by Sunshine Health, Las Tias All Insurance, Liberty Dental Plan of Florida, Homestead Hospital, and Community Medical Group. We are also grateful for the continuous support of the Health Council of South Florida and more than 30 community partners participating in the event annually providing resources and education for the community.
