National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is celebrated on October 15th. This year marks the sixteenth year of what has become the annual observance to raise awareness on the impact of HIV and AIDS on Latino communities. This year’s theme, “Living with HIV or not..we’re fighting this together,” helps address that people with or without HIV have a say in ending HIV and stopping new diagnoses. This year’s campaign was designed to break the stigma that only one group has the responsibility to end HIV.

Using existing prevention tools can help our community get to zero. This NLAAD remember to: take the HIV test, consider PrEP as a prevention option, stay on HIV treatment to become and stay undetectable and use condoms.
