National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a nationwide community mobilization initiative observed each year on September 27th. It seeks to increase awareness of the disproportionate impact of HIV on men who have sex with men (MSM) and build capacity, participation, and support for HIV gay and other men who have sex with men.

Getting tested, linked to care, and treated for HIV can prevent new infections. The good news is that there are now many highly effective, well-tolerated HIV treatment options. Everyone should know their HIV status and know how to prevent transmission. If negative, learn about HIV prevention options, including new biomedical interventions: PrEP & nPEP. If positive, HIV treatment can lead to a long healthy life and prevent HIV transmission.
