National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is celebrated on October 15th. This year marks the fifteenth year of what has become the annual observance to raise awareness on the impact of HIV and AIDS on Latino communities. This year’s theme, “Ending HIV is everyone’s job,” speaks to everyone who is willing to invest their energy in eliminating new HIV infections and helping persons living with HIV to achieve viral suppression.
Using existing prevention tools can help our community get to zero. This NLAAD remember to: take the HIV test, consider PrEP as a prevention treatment, keep the HIV treatment to become and stay undetectable and use condoms.
